Hal

Hal is a loving Lab/mix pup. He is between 40-45 lbs. Hal has a neurological issue which previously caused uncontrollable, continuous body movements.  With the help of some homeopathic and holistic remedies and through Hal's hard work, he now only has a slight bounce in his step. His only ongoing restriction is that he would have to have a Seresto collar or a topical for flea/tick repellent (not a chewable). He is also Hattie's brother.

Hal's Story

Presenting Hal, (brother of Hattie, surrendered with the same neurological issue), our Memphis gent, currently weighing between 40-45 lbs.  He is ready to find a place in your family and settle in his furever home.  He was surrendered to be euthanized due his uncontrollable, continuous body movements for which there exists no conventional treatment.  When contacted by the shelter in Tennessee, WOW arranged transport for him to come to Connecticut.  Under WOW, Hal was able to receive assistance and support from a Homeopath to help minimize his movements.  With time, patience, consistency and lots of love and encouragement he is now able to be still to eat on his own without assistance.  Only a slight bounce in his back remains, making him all the cuter as he prances around.  Hal enjoys running and playing with the other pups at WOW and loves to cuddle in your arms.He would do well with kind, respectful children of any age and would provide you with lots of love, laughs and kisses.  Hal is just the sweetest, gentlest and submissive puppy;  he's very smart lovable and only vocal when the situation necessitates.  As with the addition of any new puppy to a family, training is recommended.  This experience would provide the time for the two of you to bond and for him to develop positive behaviors to benefit both he and his family.  A fenced in yard (not an invisible fence) would be a bonus to allow Hal the freedom and space to run and play and exercise his body, so crucial to a puppy's healthy development. If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet gent, he may be the one for you and your family.  Won't you consider adopting him?
