Hattie
Hattie is a loving Lab/mix pup. She is between 35-40 lbs. Hattie has a neurological issue which previously caused uncontrollable, continuous body movements. With the help of some homeopathic and holistic remedies and through Hattie's hard work, she now only has a slight bounce in her step. Her only ongoing restriction is that she would have to have a Seresto collar or a topical for flea/tick repellent (not a chewable). She is also Hal's brother.
Hattie's Story
I invite you to take a close look at Hattie's profile and her pictures. She has been at the WOW Rescue for almost a year due to some medical issues the Rescue needed to address to prepare her for adoption. She is our Memphis gal, currently weighing 35 - 40 lbs. and is ready and anxiously waiting to select a family of her own. She is a gentle, loving soul and now loves to play with the other puppies and would just smother you with kisses while she cuddles with you. She was surrendered to be euthanized since she had uncontrollable, continuous body movements for which there is no conventional treatment. The shelter contacted the Rescue who then worked with a Homeopath to help minimize her movements and with extended time, patience and loving care she is now able to eat on her and over all her uncontrolable body movements have subsided. She has become more stable with just a minimal bounce in her back end and would love to become a part of your family.
Hattie is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all medical needs. She is crate trained and with some individualized attention, patience, consistency and a bit of TLC she should complete her house training. She has a bundle of love and kisses to share with her family and would do best with children over the age of 6. Hattie is sweet, smart, submissive, lovable and only vocal when the situation necessitates. As with the addition of any new puppy in a family, training is always recommended to develop a close bond between you and your pup as well as to develop positive behavior patterns for a smooth transition. A fenced in yard (not an invisible fence) would be a bonus for Hattie and would provide her with an opportunity to run and play and exercise and strengthen her body.
Adoption fee is $500. Approval of application also involves a meet and greet to provide for an opportunity for Hattie to select her special family and interact with you. Please note that the Rescue is not looking to recoup the cost incurred as the fee is only 1/3 of the total expenses to the Rescue to prepare a puppy for adoption.
Wouldn't you love to add Hattie to your family and provide a fur-ever home for her. She won't disappoint you!
