About Whitey's Only Wish Rescue Inc.

Here at Whitey's Only Wish, WOW Rescue, our goal is to rescue homeless puppies and arrange for their transport to the rescue in Connecticut. The next step involves providing medical attention and care, including necessary vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and micro-chipping to prepare the pups for adoption. Under Ming's care they receive direction, love and attention, until they are placed in their future homes.

Remember, when you get a puppy, you've made our promise your own. You promise to love them their whole life because they will love you completely till the end

Our mission would be greatly enhanced with the addition of more foster, volunteers and other supporters of our cause. So if you would like to get involved with our rescue, please let us know. Every helping hand makes a difference!

Our Rescue Process

Rescue & Transport

Our WOW Rescue receives requests from individuals as well as shelters in the South about puppies in need of help. With the help of our generous pilots in Pilots n Paws, our ground transport volunteers, and our incredible overnight hosts, the pups make their way to the WOW Rescue in Connecticut

Fostering

Fostering a furbaby to prepare them for their loving home is not for the faint of heart, but it very rewarding. Many are under the impression that saying "good bye" when the pup has selected a loving home is a difficult process, but your heart would be more broken if you were to know the alternate fate of the pups (facing death on the cruel streets). It is only with your help that WOW Rescue works

At the Rescue

Finally, the pups arrive at their final destination before adoption, the WOW Rescue in CT. They are welcomed by Ming, our fluffy chow chow, whose task is to welcome the pups and show them the ropes. He works to begin their training: helping them have the confidence and assurance to ignore thunder storms and mind their manners as the rescue locates a loving furever home for each pup
